Spotlight on COVID-19
COVID-19 is the greatest health threat in living memory. Since early March 2020, before the UK government took belated steps to protect the population against the virus, JRSM has published articles debating the many questions of clinical practice and health policy posed by COVID-19.
At what age should we start protecting people? How can we lessen the inequalities exposed by COVID-19? What are some of the clinical effects of loneliness and social isolation? Was lockdown even the right policy option? What is the role of primary care? And as we emerge from the first wave of COVID-19, what is the process of accountability that can optimise the ongoing response?
JRSM papers ask important questions about the public health response to the disease – in the UK and in other countries. How, too, might we learn lessons from history and international comparisons as we find ways to move forward?
All the papers in this special JRSM collection are free to access.
